Collection "B 145 Bild Presse- und Informationsamt der Bundesregierung"

The "B 145 Bild" collection in the Federal Archives includes approx. 1,1 million photos documenting the political, but also in some areas economic, social and "architectural" life of the Federal Republic up to the 1990s. Some images date back to the imperial period, the Weimar Republic and the time of National Socialism. All photos dating back 70 years or older are available in the Federal Archives. The "film directories" transferred by the Federal Picture Archives to the Federal Archives make it easier to research all images in the collection. Latest photos are archived by the Bundesbildstelle.
